PSST! You can join the NTEU by paying Cash or Credit!

We’ve all had them at some point in our career. They can be a terror to deal with on your best days, and a nightmare on your worst. We’re of course talking about bad managers. When you join the NTEU through payroll deduction, a Web-TA transaction is created. So what’s the big deal? Well, in most circumstances that’s not a big deal at all. For most of your career you will have a manager who is at least, sane. Then there is that one manager, who you may know, and may have the unfortunate situation of reporting to, who may hold it against you. Managers like this are extra special (meaning extra paranoid) and must be handled with care.

If you feel like joining the union, but think your manager will hold it against you in any way, ask your steward for a cash dues form. This takes your NTEU membership outside the TTB payroll process. Think of it as a career concealed carry permit. Your manager will never know you joined, and don’t forget you can use your credit card.
